Sightseeing in the rain state...I mean the evergreen state

While Cheli bailed on the team pretty much right away, Garrett hung around for a while to check out the scene in Forks (aka Twilight fan Mecca) and Seattle.

If you look really hard you can see Edward in the background...wait no you can't because he's not real. Sorry Garrett.

Yeah those are wild elk....

Atlantic to Pacific....check

Garrett was in heaven in the space needle... Spinning around at 80 million feet up while you try to eat lunch, not my idea of a good time.

Blog Fail

Blogging is hard when you're not stuck in a car all day every day. In case you were wondering, we made it to Washington and the package (Dawn) was delivered.

Here are some highlights of the arrival.

Washington...the scenic route

We're running low on cash so we're trying to flip Cheli for some funds to hit the casinos.

So far no takers.

Good morning day 9

We should have known something was up when we started seeing signs telling us to put the chains (that we don't have) on our tires. We spent a very long and slow morning on the snow/ice covered roads of Mount Hood National Park, Oregon.

Yeah we saw all kinds of signs including: cow crossing, rocks, chain on area, winter driving conditions and runaway truck ramp. We may have been passed by everyone including an SUV from Hawaii, but we made it through safe and sound.

Now we're in the home state of Washington, and planning on pulling in for good around 5 or 6.

Ps Julie, Cheli made you proud singing and car dancing to Lucky Star.

Dreams really do come true!

Folks, believe it or not we fulfilled Cheli's make a wish and made it to Bend!

And it was a total dump....

J/K...it was amazing. Everything we imagined it would be and more.

Cutest downtown ever. Everyone was out and about and the shops we're amazing. Michele tried to make a break for it, but we knocked her out and threw her back in the car. When she woke up we were on our way north and she was pissed. Buck had to talk her down.
Needles to say, we had a blast in Bend and the side trip was well worth it.

Oregon pee break stop #2

Michele missed a little, but in her defense it was super windy

Going Psycho on the Oregon Trail

The road to Bend is not the interstate...Garrett is not impressed. We also found The Bates Motel (for those of you like Garrett and Brad who don't get that reference, shame on you, and please google Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho).

Cruising 35-55 mph all the way to Bend.

Back to Boise

We made it to Oregon tonight and found the only dog friendly hotel in Ontario....word to the wise the Clarion Hotel is DISGUSTING. The place smelled like cigarettes inside and puke outside, had burn holes in the curtains, and even Buck didn't want to lay down. The team pulled it together, despite the late hour, and high tailed it back to Boise. So we officially met our goal of making it to Oregon, but so far we're not impressed with the place.

We miss Wyoming.

Visiting Julie in Boise

Thank you for dinner Julie, and thank you for putting up with our road tired indecisiveness.
We have to be honest, Cheli is pretty "special" and we weren't sure what it would be like to meet one of her friends. Turns out Julie was not only normal but she was totally awesome. Thanks for showing us a good time in Boise.

Alpacas in Idaho

We could not make this shit up. We pulled into a gas station in Idaho that was literally so remote their was a sign that said, "welcome to the middle of nowhere." We walk up to the store and see this...

Yeah that says alpaca treats!!
Amazing!

Buck fits right in.

I'm literally feeding freaking alpacas in the middle of nowhere.

Best stop ever...and don't worry we didn't die Ed!
